"Nothing Lasts Forever"
That phrase keeps popping up in my head. The petals are falling off my flowers, Rove's wife died, my grandparents are old, relationships end, books finish, lights go out, people move on.
Heard recently that Christians are the ones who are really living.. and that what makes them different is that they will continue to live, they'll never stop.
Real Life. The true Life. That is what lasts forever.
Our hope lies in the One who gives us true Life. He is Life. He is Love. The eternality we long for can be had here in this world and once we have it - it never stops. No wonder it was called good news.

good thought there Clare.
I loved it a few years ago when the rugby world cup was on... and a whole bunch of the Samoan rugby team who were based in perth at the time came to riverview and visited.
That included Michael Jones their coach who was an ex superstar allblack in the early 90's.
He's very well known for being one of the great allblacks of alltime and also for a match in the semi finals of the 1991 world cup against australia where he refused to play the game because it was on a sunday morning and he wanted to go to church.
And so he didn't play, NZ ended up losing and being knocked out of the world cup by australia and many suggested if he'd played they'd have won.
When he came to riverview and phil quizzed him on why he did it... He just replied..
"Because the things of this world will pass away... but the things of God and spiritual value will never fade.."
I was very inspired by that and it puts it all in perspective.
everything under the sun will fade away..
